The weekly fruit crate is eagerly awaited by many colleagues and it is often empty within two days. A great way to be more conscious of healthy eating and leave the sugary candy in the vending machine. Moreover, it has encouraged colleagues to eat fruit (more). Every week, we give clinics to underprivileged youth in Amsterdam. These not only focus on football, but also on the Life Skills that are so important to the Ajax Youth Academy. Nutrition is an important part of this. That is why we give the kids a piece of fruit from Fruitful Office after the training. It is fantastic to see how the children react to this. For some, it is the first fruit in years. It is important that they get to know the fruit, taste the fruit. They notice how tasty it is and hopefully that will make them grab an apple rather than a candy bar next time.
